Peter Buchanan
Managing Partner

Peter has worked as a high-level consultant in strategy, business development, and marketing, and has held roles as a CEO, strategic planner, product manager, and sales manager. For over 25+ years, he has advised tech company CEOs and Boards on fundraising strategies, managing growth, and achieving profitable exits. He co-founded three successful professional services firms, creating strategies and business plans for over 400 start-ups and growth companies. He has also taken on interim roles in strategy and corporate development for several growing companies. As CEO at VIAcode Consulting, he led a team of developers building software for major companies like Microsoft, HortonWorks, NetApp, and Wolters Kluwer, growing the company by 40%+ over 2.5 years. Earlier, he worked at British Telecom and GE Information Services, where he developed a market analysis method that helped secure major contracts and increase market share, which was later used successfully across other GE divisions. He holds a BA in History from the University of Virginia.

Michael Rapaport
Managing Partner

Michael has 30 years of experience as a software and services executive, including roles as CEO and in sales, product, and operations. He specializes in enterprise software and has achieved four high-value exits. Besides his role at NewPlan, Michael is the Co-Founder and CEO of Integri, LLC, which creates essential business applications for the US military. Recently, he grew IQS, a quality management software provider for companies in the automotive, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and manufacturing industries, selling it to Cority in 2017. He previously served as Senior VP of Sales, Marketing, and Product Management at Western Data Systems (WDS), a leading provider of MRO software in the Aerospace & Defense sector. He helped sell WDS to Manugistics (now JDA), linking it to a widely used Supply Chain Management platform in the Department of Defense. Earlier, Michael held CEO, COO, and Senior Sales Management roles in rapidly growing software and services firms that larger companies acquired. He earned a BS in Business Administration and Management from the University of Miami.
